POWER SKATING

Welcome to the Vegas Golden Knights Skating Academy's Power Skating Program!

Skating technique has remained the most neglected factor in hockey fundamentals. Hockey players at every age fail to realize their full potential because they do not spend enough time focusing on their individual skating skills.

Power skating focuses on skating skills for hockey players.

During a game, a player has so much to think about: stick handling, passing, shooting, strategy, etc. that they have little time to focus on skating technique and how to react on skates to unexpected situations and sudden changes in play.

A player’s skating ability must therefore be tuned so sharply and practiced so consistently that their reactions become second nature. We can focus on power skating skills in private lessons, small groups and/or teams.

Classes are 1 hour in length and taught in group format.

Private/semi private power skating lessons are available. You can speak to one of our power skating instructors for information about private lessons.
