UPDATE: PUBLISHED 6/11/2020
We would like to take this time to thank each of you for the patience and support you have shown us over the past few months. We are excited to announce our first phase of reopening beginning Sunday, June 14th, 2020. Below are updates in accordance with each of the programs we have here at City National Arena. Please scroll down and carefully read through each program update.
Youth Hockey Programming – Lil’ Knights, JRGKHL, Girls Development Program and Clinics
The Hockey Department would like to thank all our families for their patience and support. We pride ourselves on providing consistent scheduling with top notch coaching and instruction. We plan to continue doing so again as soon as we are fully operational. As we move forward through the Summer, we are looking to offer youth clinics whenever our schedule permits. We will post all information on our website and as well distribute to our families via newsletter. Until then:
We understand these changes are hard, but they are necessary to ensure we can continue to run consistently scheduled programming, with the organization and professionalism our families have grown to expect. Please continue to check our website and read our newsletter for future programming information, including our Fall season of the JRGKHL. Exciting times are ahead with the opening of our new facility in Henderson and we will continue to provide professional and structured programming, giving all our players and families a fun pathway to grow their love for the game. As always, thank you for your support. Any questions, please contact:
Dell Truax at firstname.lastname@example.org.
VGK Skating Academy - Learn to Skate
Our Learn to Skate program is an important part of our programming at City National Arena. This is where everyone starts their skating journey into hockey, figure skating, or just the love of skating. For the time being, our Learn to Skate program remains paused, while awaiting clarity surrounding the NHL’s return to play. If you registered for Session #4 and waiting to get back on the ice, we will hold your spot in our program and remain in place to start when we are able to do so.
If you are interested in a refund, or have any questions, please contact:
Chad Goodwin at email@example.com.
NHL Learn to Play
We have created a great developmental pathway to hockey from the Skating Academy, into the NHL Learn to Play program and on into the Lil’ Knights program. Each step is so interconnected that it is best we reengage at the same time to ensure player development continuity and seamless progression between each step. For the time being, these programs remain paused, while awaiting clarity surrounding the NHL’s return to play.
In terms of the NHL Learn to Play program specifically, a group of kids was fitted for their first set of gear right before the pause and that group will remain in place to start the program when we are able to do so. I understand that some of your kids will have grown in the meantime, so I ask that your equipment remain in NEW condition. That way, any necessary exchanging will be valid with the vendor.
Any questions on the NHL Learn to play program, please contact:
Matt Flynn at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are pleased to add a program to our ever-expanding City National offerings. It is extremely popular throughout ice rinks across North America. Here is how it works:
